BAD WEATHER POLICY

Whenever we have bad weather (snow, ice, etc.) that could force closings of schools, businesses, and cancellation of our services, we have several options for getting the information to you:

1.      CHECK THE CHURCH WEBSITE (www.mpbcnet.com ) .  There will be a marquee message on the home page of the website with the status of our services.

2.      CHECK THE WXII-TV WEBSITE (www.wxii12.com) where we will have our information posted.  WXII also has an email closing alert service where you can sign up for automatic email notification of closings (go to their homepage for details).

3.      TUNE IN TO WXII-TV and wait to see our listing there on your TV screen.  Closings will be listed in alphabetical order.  Look for "Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, State Road."

4.      TUNE IN TO WIFM RADIO, Elkin  (100.9FM) and listen for information about Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of State Road .

5.      CALL THE CHURCH OFFICE at 874-2712 or 874-2232 to get the latest information.  There will be a brief message on the answering machine that will be as up-to-date and as accurate as possible, as soon as possible.  Please note: if the power is out, the answering machine will not be working, so this option may not always be available.    

Keep in mind that our policy is to hold services if at all possible (safely), and we will not cancel services on the basis of a weather forecast, but rather on the basis of actual conditions.
